Since I’ve been blogging I’ve always written what I think about companies, software and products that I’ve met along the way. My blog entry about Subway’s branch in Chelmsford was visited and commented on by the branch manager, who provided us all with 20% discount cards after I moaned about the service and the cost of the food. Its interesting to share some information I’ve discovered when researching local businesses in Chelmsford for a good price for marketing goods.
I love marketing.

For part of my role at Ultralab this year I’ve had to work close with Maureen Gurr to organise some of the stuff for our attendance at The BETT Show. We needed an A0 size board made, and a T-Shirt Printer!….I went on a hunt around the town looking for someone to supply at a reasonable cost. The BETT Show is very important and as a significant and respected organisation it is important that our presence reflects this.

Here were my quotes for the A0 board, both businesses are a few doors away from each other.

Digital Imaging Chelmsford = £58 + VAT

KallKwik Chelmsford = £77 + VAT

Needless to say, I went with Digital Imaging, and we’re very impressed at the speed and quality of the completed product. I understand the owner can do posters, flyers and boards. However you should always get a quote from rivals before you purchase.

For T-Shirts I tried all over the place and Chelmsford’s PrintWear came in £100 less than any rival and did a fast and effective job printing 36 shirts for Ultralab’s presence at BETT.
