Neglected …. and back….. ish.

I’ve not been here for a while, partly because I’ve been busy, doing bits and bobs, loads of stuff to write about, like our day with Apple, and the next generation of Internet stuff….but I’ve not got round to writing about that stuff yet….

April was a pretty hectic month, with seven days holiday in Norfolk thrown in for good luck. Norfolk is a great county….and my dear satnav lady gets very confused as we get lost in the maze of country lanes. The shops in the villages are interesting, everyone says hello to everyone, Norfolk people are polite and friendly.

The most scary thing is….that at exactly this time, five years ago, I’d finished my final exam and completed my BSc. (Hons) degree. I remember watching as other students who were frantically trying to complete their final dissertation, I’d finished mine weeks earlier.

Where have those five years gone? What will come in the next five years?

In July 2000 the degree results were published, in November I graduated, and was then hired by Ultralab on the same day.

The past five years have rushed by, it needed to go slower.

I’ve only done one masters module in the two years, I’m thinking about switching to face to face teaching from online learning, as I’m not sure that I personally am able to focus and achieve as well as I did when I took part in taught teaching at higher level. I am interested now in a Masters level course in marketing and will be exploring this further…..I think….

Or should i use an alias?

No, I’ll stick with the real me.

Thanks for skyping me from your Norfolk meeting - there was a lot of echo which might be why I seemed a bit cautious at my end but I hope it was OK for you guys. It seems you are making good use of Norfolk - work and holidays.

Hi Shirley, thanks for being you….I checked, and it really is you :-)
The Norfolk project is looking very promising, again another groundbreaking project for Ultralab to pioneer with project partners. Our previous work within the field of new and emerging technologies have helped secure this new and exciting opportunity.

“in November I graduated, and was then hired by Ultralab on the same day.”

So you’ve never had a proper job then?

:-) Excellent observation…..bit confusing…..could be considered a tad rude…….although incorrect……….Richard………..should I call you Richard?………I have to check IP addresses to block for spam each day….(that ‘Texas Holdem’ Casino one gets right on my nerves)…..and in that process I’ve noticed that you’re IP address actually matches in the database completely with other unregistered messages previously posted on this blog……and indeed another check searching my server records has flagged another blog database return yet another name, this time, same IP, female name, all running off this server…….which has confused me even more……I’m confused as to why you have chosen to change your identity, each time you have posted. Same IP, different name. Of course three people could be using the same computer…….doubt it though, why would the same IP post on two different un-connected blogs under two different names….
I should dig out my study into online behaviour, it fascinates me. Psychology and Human Behaviour were there the areas that most interested me at University, my highest marks.

If only I had the time to dig deeper……but hey…..I’ve a busy job! …..

……..perhaps whoeveryouare—–you would rather identify who you really actually are…..first, and then we’ll talk about my past employment (full and part time)…charity/youth work………etc etc…..

    Cheers Andy!…… ;-)
