It has been ages since we last met up with, but ladies and gentlemen… Colin Elsey becomes the latest Ultranaut to have tea on the Cleveratom (2006-2011) sofa ….

We’re all big fans of Colin and his work in the field of Design & Technology in innovative learning and back in the lab days Colin was the heart and soul of many Ultralab (1990-2006) projects.

Colin and I began working at Ultralab (1990-2006) around the same time as each other back in November 2000.  In 2001 we worked together on the RNLI’s Lifeboats.TV project and I learned a lot from him as we travelled the length and breadth of the United Kingdom to collect the stories of lifeboat crews everywhere for a new and engaging interactive website for kids.

A quick search on this blog brings up many happy memories working with Colin, as does a quick search over on digitalcreativity.org which brings up even more.

It was great to see Colin again, and we look forward to more frequent visits.
